My new bike
« on: January 28, 2008, 01:39:58 PM »

On saturday (26 Jan) i bought a 2nd hand 2005 zx6r 636 c1h.

All i can say is Fo0k Me  No wonder you guys love the 10's. These bikes are seriously fast.

Had a short ride on saturday (unrestricted) and didnt take it above 6,000 rpm but it was still immensly more powerful and faster than my rs125 tuono.

Was sitting in 4th gear doing 30mph (bout 3000rpm), joined the dual carraigeway over Deeside Industrial estate and thought "I wonder how well it pulls from this here" and before i had time to blink i was doing 70mph.

My tuono only does 90mph flat out in 6th. (on a still day).

Well im going to have it restricted on Thursday (to 33bhp) But hopefully it wont lose that bottom end that scared the living daylights out of me.

Great fun though.

P.s. I will post some pictures up soon!

Nice one Jay, that's the one I've got, well '06 and had silly numbers on my little run home from work this evening.

Take it easy out there though till you get used to it.  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Restricted  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]  well that's the deal me laddo and I'll be checking.

I must admit that I was new keen on the C1 636 but it's grown on me, and a radial master cyclinder too  :icon_thumright:

It wheelies in second off the throttle  [whistle]  and flies up to 130  [whistle] so I've heard  :headbang:

you (Jay) and Ross have turned what looked like a bit of a filthy mess into a nice clean looking bike ina day, nice one lads  :icon_thumright: and serviced it too  :icon_thumright:

I fancy one of those as a track bike, maybe it'll need deresticting once in a while for me to clear the cobwebs  :headbang:

I can't get mine to wheelie off the throttle in 2nd, you must be a mad bastard  [rofl] for I can only get the front to go light.

I can however clutch it up in 2nd, when the clutch works  [wall]
