Had first ride out of the year today. Was supposed to be a nice gentle pootle to the Humber Bridge (13 miles). On way back came up behind a spanking red Monaro Vxr8 which sounded awesome. Anyway he turned onto the A15 dual carriageway and booted it. Naturally i followed him for a few seconds then pulled into the second lane and whipped past him. Quick glance at speedo and we were both touching around 150. Gotta be honest the car was extremely quick. Tho i did have the wife on the back lol, i got a lovely rabbit punch for my efforts. Slowed down and let him pass, gave him a big thumbs up and he was grinning his tits off. Gotta say was one of best sounding cars i have heard in a long while and very very quick.  [pray]

I agree with it sounding awesome. The Monaro and SLR are 2 of the best sounding cars out there.

Unrefined, Not that fast, heavy, Unrefined, Ugly, Unrefined etc etc

V8's dont need to sound that bored ;-)  Classic sound but prefer the Euro version personally

Yep, those VXR's are mighty quick...however you would have had him in the bends..Those things don't do corners!  Sound awesome...  I think my little 3.2 V6 sounds great...but then again it is a hairdressers car.
