As already said Bob's 10R looks better but if the 1098 was red then i think it would be closer. Dont think the black suits it to be honest.

Gotta disagree with the white comment. I haven't seen a 1098 in white but the 848 looks awesome in white (saw it at the NEC) and that's pretty much identical to the 1098.  :glasses9:

Saw one this afternoon out  with  an R6 with "R6" on the plate near Bramshill.  They were both riding like a right pair of Wally's, overtook me on a straight bit then nearly ended up embedded in the front bumper of the van when the road got twisty!

Yeah, it's good to be different and that tricolor is really nice. But the black at the start of the thread is just TOO different.  :icon_thumright:

My new 848s on its way to dream machine as I type. Hopefully it shoud be back so I can take delivery on the 1st march (I think feb is going to be a very long month)
if all goes well it should look something like this but maybe a bit slower !

Dont like it in the black...even though it will probably be faster than red  [rofl] [rofl]

Looks better than the 999  but still think the original 916 and following models up to the 998 wont be beaten on style :headbang:

Have to agree with the last comment about the 916 and its derivatives......

Ducatis have nearly always been one colour bikes.........really not sure about the black one as I think the red frame looks a bit odd but each to his own!  I've seen the white 848 in the flesh and it really is a stunning bike, quite unusual........

As for the best looking one though.....I just go out to the garage..........my 996 is a bit underpowered compared to modern stuff but the ride and handling is still amazing...........

Some fool gave me a go on his 998s at mallory park last year, I thought it was a lovely bike especially since it made me that confident that I had me knee down 2nd lap and even laid darkies at edwina's while he was watching ! I only got the 1 go so made the most of it  :headbang: Earlier models that I have rode were shit unless you spent a lot of dosh on the high spec ones.
