Like Andy , i've been off them since New Years Eve . Habit and cravings have sort of gone now . Feel better for having done it but my health just needs to catch up now - my childhood asthma has come back as all the shit and tar tries to ooze its' way outta my " 20 a day for the last 20 years "  ridden body

I'm going to do the same as soon as I've finished this packet of tobacco.

Really getting to me now, coughing in the morning till I'm sick is really doing my head in at the moment.


I should finish this tobacco on Tuesday so I'll be off it on Wednesday hopefully.

Did it about 10 years ago as well, went 2 years without smoking and then went to back to college and blow me if it didn't take 6 weeks to get back to 20 a day.

To finally rid myself of the demon weed.  Feel pretty sick of 'em really, the benefits surely out-weigh the negative aspects, just don't enjoy it anymore. And I know I can be fitter and feel better about myself for doing it, just gotta knuckle down and stick to it.  Last time it took two weeks to break it's back, thats all . As the title says 'Long hard road out of hell' .

I gave up smoking 2003 oct never looked back..... more money better health fatter belly 

Saved the money on the fags, but now spends it all on gym membership.

I suppose the view of all those office girlies trying to stop their bums getting big makes up for it though G

mate this will sound daft but once youve stopped you`l know what i mean 
its harder to start smoking than it is to stop.
well a thought so anyway .
its just the 1st week you`l go from bad breath to a bad temper lol
