little gem
« on: December 27, 2007, 09:54:53 PM »

I dropped my car off today to get the heater fixed and I noticed a couple of wheels under a dust sheet.
It was a 1995 zx750 rebuild, the guys who owns the garage told me it was his brothers and has been sitting there for a couple of years.
Stage 2 dyno'd. He reckons it was producing about 140bhp ish??
polished frame.
custom made full exhaust system, with akro can. (Beautiful looking)
Perfect and complete fairing.
polished wheels, that lip in the middle of the wheel has been removed so the inside of the wheels are smooth, never seen that before looks cool...

this could be my first trackbike :headbang: :headbang:

sounds nice but be careful around that wheel de-seaming, it was all the fashion in the early 90's but can be an issue when the wheel falls apart  :-/

140ish HP is a good number for a 1995 ZXR, I thought that they were quite low power standard and 140 is a big number for one for sure

zxr 750 L3 = 108 bhp at 11k, 54lbfts at 10,250rpm.

gixer 750 wr = 104 bhp at 10750, 54.6lbfts at 9500rpm.

yzf750r = 107.5 bhp at 11250, 56.2lbfts at 9250.

yam winner on torque, making 44lbft at 6k and zxr 37 at same revs, exup you see :icon_thumleft:

have an old copy of p.bikes mag to hand (may 1994)
new it would come into use one day.

so 140 well high, yer man may be pullin ya porker there.
but hey if you like the look get it :icon_thumleft:

always liked zxr's and zx7r's dreamed of gettingf one and having it
painted in the old french endurance colours,  red, green, white.  yum yum.
