Not ridden my K5 that much yet but all the signs point to the makings of a damned good track bike so far - feels soooo much lighter than my old '07 10R ( felt very long and low ! ) - having ridden Glenns '04 10R I would say that the K5 Gixxer Thou is VERY similar although probably a good deal more forgiving  [whistle]

Which is probably a good thing as far as I am concerned  :dontknow: - I am sure Glenn will be able to give you a better comparison once he's had a blast round the " circuit " on it  [whistle]

I can't wait :jerk: to late  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

The dyno software can overlay different bikes, so on Phils Dynopro where I had the 10R setup (several times over its life) we compared thats last runs from November 07 against a 2008 R1 prepped for Superstock.

The 08 R1 has 10bhp more at the RW from 7000 onwards, and a couple of lb of torque from the same point pretty much.  Also hangs onto its power for a 1000rpm more (redline).

A K7 gixxer still shows them both the way home though past 10K !

I have heard they are really easy to push  :icon_thumright: inlike the K7 , like you say K7 has good engine but they say they ruined the handling  :icon_thumleft:

Yeah, I've heard very similar things about the K7 -- motor is top though.  Takes more that BHP to put in a respectable laptime though !!
