hi guy just wondering whats the best way to get as many ponys out of the 05 zx10r,i've got a full aki evo system k&n filter and a p/c pc3 usb is there any more i can do,the mate has just bought a aki full system and p/c pc3  ,hes fast on track do you see what im getting @ ,ive got the pc3 with the aki system on it,would a custom map sneak me some more ,

Bud at the end of the day a good rider on a 600 would whoop yer ass on track,dont know how quick you are but i aint no slouch and ive had other riders on smaller and older bikes duffing me up on track!!....can you see what im getting at?

az custom map won't sneak much more but just smooth put delivery... make it more usable....

if you want real horse power you want

to give you bike to keiron10R with 1000 pounds and he'll give you your bike back with close to 200 brake as he can get it..... I recommend a custom map after his tune 

but as yogi says it don't matter how powerful your bike is there will always be someone on and older lesser bike kicking your ass.....

riding is made up of 2 main components......

Number 1 Skill

and number 2 Bottle ...... if you have both then your fine but you cannot be fast without both...... if you have one then the other can be trained ... if you have niether then your fooked

yeah yogi i know what you mean,trackdays with guys on tuned r6 fly  ,they dont bother me its the mate!!(and yes i have more than one)i've only had my lience a year,hes been riding 12+,i do knockhill in the 59's hes in the 57's,i know track time is the answer,

no worries buddy ...... leave it as it is you are doing just fine .... just make sure you get your arse down south next year and join us on a trackday or two

well we where gonna go endurance racing next year,but its been knocked on the headmbut were gonna do some serious track time up and down the contry

shame you won't be joining me then

It takes a long time to accept that more BHP doesn't mean better lap times. been there, done it: go with what you have , you are better off without huge amounts of power until you can REALLY screw the arse off what you have.  When you can then go for more power but you'll be disappointed(unless you are world class). It takes a lot more than hp to lap quick.  spend your dough on track time and keep trying to go quicker, not just having a bit of fun. like everything , you've got to work at it:icon_thumleft: if you just want a bit of fun thats fine too

i stick to 600's because i can play the underdog 

as others have said.
and to add to it.  basically more power can ONLY be used for about half the distance between every corner.
but may be more difficult to ride if its not set up properly etc etc.

4 or 5 trackdays (serious ones) is worth at least 1k spent on the bike IMO bargain!!

no one can keep up with me on a track,even on an fs1 fizzy, hit the straights flat out.......... fuck up the racing line and just go straight across the grass,cuts out all the bends..... such fun..

donnington done in 45 secs.beat that 

    sticks in everyone's spokes helps too, not though I ever did that as a kid or owt
