Nice, back to the speedo, its down to MOT regs and CONSTRUCTION AND USE regs not being the same, some items can pass or are not included in an mot but plod can knick you for it. EXAMPLE 4x4 offroad vehicle has got huge tyres on that stick out 4 inches more than the wheel arches, as a mot tester i cannot fail it for the defect but he could drive off my forcourt and get knicked under construction and use because arches must cover the tyres. Stupid but thats how it is  :shock:

i thought for a day light mot i.e use on a public highway you also need a brake light ???
