so why the seal on the reservoir pot (other than the obvious stopping leaks)

to stop dust and water I guess, there will be very slight pressure in there but nothing at all really :icon_thumright: if there was pressure to any degree those 'HRC' replacement pipes would simply suck in ;-) and afterall it's only a thin tube feeding to the mater cylinder :icon_thumright:
