It's a good job I'm naturally calm, just took a call from our service desk who work 24hrs to tell me that there was a 'priority 1' incident and that our main system was down....... he was reasy to start all the contact directors etc. i had a look and called the people that had reported faults and guess what ? It was just a guy who had forgotten his password......

Thanks god that's over the bloody numpty, you'd think that people who took calls as a job would ask the right questions really and wouldn't get in such a panic.

Anyhow that's the world saved once again

i'm always on call....and i have a skilled trade so the pay is awesome...but i have finished a 12 hour night shift and been on a plane by 3 the same afternoon....it's a crazy lifestyle and it cuts into the ridin time..

I'm a whole lot hapier now knowing that we are all on call

i'm on call 1 in 5 weeks,its a pain in the arse.got a call from a person telling me there was a problem at 5 am.turned out to be nothing regarding me .bloody anoying.on call over christmas just my luck.

I am not on call ever-------------- (unless a real emergency and our datacentre has been blown up)

I only work 9 til 5 monday to friday and I love it

been there done that with the 24-7 thing done my hard work got my war medal
