Hi Jedi, how did you find the trade up from the B4 to the 10R then ??

I purchased the 9R in 2003 tried out a Ducati 996 and a B1 ZX6 at the same time as I was upgrading from a ZX6R J2 model, but I found the B1 really hurt my wrists, have not managed to blag a shot on a 10R yet, but hoping as they are a bit bigger they will be able to put up with a 6`3" rider and not destroy my wrists as much, saying that i know the 9R is a bit like a sports tourer nowadays and am not expecting the same level of comfort lol

the 04/05 is a little harder on the wrists that the 06/07 but still not as bad on the wrist than a factory or a ducati  :icon_thumleft:

Welcome mate :icon_thumright: Had 2 9r's. An E1 then a F2p both great. Got an 07 ten now with some rear sets and DB screen can be just as comfy as the 9. I am 6'1". The lightness of the 10 makes it feel alot quicker but the 9 would never be far behind.

Hi Mate & welcome  :occasion14:

I traded in an E1 9R for my '07 10R

As to differences, performance & handling are way quicker on the 10R, but despite what the bike press may say, the the 9R is still a cracking road bike & the larger dimensions actually make it more suited for doing distance work.

I'm thinking about looking at getting another 9r for everyday use - currently have a 1200 Bandit that does that duty, maybe a damaged one that I can fighter, still got a pile of goodies for the 9R that could make a useful bike - Full Yoshi system, Ohlins shock, Harris rearsets etc.
