Snet, the good and the bad.
« on: October 22, 2007, 06:51:25 PM »

Done snet yesterday and had a blast, but also had an off
The day started off fucking cold! Over an hours ride from mine to the circuit, stopped at the A14 services to RV with the missus who had hot coffee and a warm car waiting, couldn't even get my gloves off for a piss, even struggled to smoke a fag my fingers were so cold. Should of slept in the fridge the night before to climatise.
Got to the circuit and signed on and got conned out of a tenners "charge" for taking Yogi's place. Enjoy your pint Focused fuckers.
Then was told that I was in group 1  Fucking dangerous, too many slow people acting like lemmings for my liking, were having to weave through them on the straights and hugging the apex longer to get past in the corners. Lap time were 1:38 :-/ then best were 1:32.
Then made my mind up too move up a group but only had a place in the fast group. With thanks to Gabs I was able to move :icon_thumright:
Got out in the fast group and wow! Could actually ride at the pace I felt comfortable with, and once the tyres were warm was able to pass some people too :headbang:
Lap times 1:27 then best was 1:25 yipee!
Then while having an awesome time BANG! the back washed out on the exit on the right hander at the esses, gave no warning at all :dontknow:.
Luckily I got up straight away and ran over to the bike and picked it up to look at the damage. BOLLOCKS, can't belive it happened.
The bike is okay, nothing is bent and rides absolutely fine, the damage is only superficial. However it is still fairing panels and a cracked top fairing so will still cost some  money me and the missus ain't got really and the bike is only six months old.
Still had a awesome day and thanks to Glenn,Henas,Dave and Gabs. And most importantly my wife for being understanding.

Glad i saw you in time to miss you, dude, thats all - not a great place to be trying to pick it up  :-( still its a place where a lot of people come off for the same reason, so dont feel alone. one guy highsided in front of me and i managed to miss his head by about 6 inches.

it really didnt look bad. if you do fancy some race fairing, let me know and i can put you in touch with some people.
