Sorry whats that you're saying....... I worked 16 years in night clubs and doing concerts...doing sound, lighting., had a beer bottle smashed in one ear and had to hae stitches in it.
So  if you work in a noisy envirioment PROTECT your ears, I'm talking from experience.

If it is a certain frequency of sound your eardrum actually stretches and you ( overtime) loose the capability of hearing that frequency and it is normaly the high ones that go first.
Things like power tools tend to run a long time at one frequency can reall yplay havoc.

Been in the same area, it hurts after a while.
100mph plus back from London late one night. M3, M27. Every time I put my head on the pillow, all I could hear was my airbox. Now I like induction roar as much as the next nutter, but not for6 hours after I've got off the fuckin thing!
For those of you who didn't catch that.............

Always use them if I'm not running around town.

Have a couple of mates that have developed tinnitus from going to gigs rather than biking, but they assure me it's not a good thing.

Funniest thing now is that they both use earplugs when at gigs, they don't half get some puzzled looks as people are wondering wtf someones doing at a Motorhead or Nashville Pussy gig , with bright yellow earplugs in !
