google it and I am sure it will explain... summit to do with fooling the bike what gear its in  :icon_thumleft:

yup the ecu retards the ignition slighty in the lower gears . The ecu senses which gear it is in by switched resistors in the gearbox sensor. The tre is a resistor thas fools the ecu into thinking the bike is in a higher gear (5th i think, although i have heard some use neutral (?) )

its not an ivan TRE but might be same fitting instructions if any help to ya

right I just finished I will make another thread as this will be fitting pictures for Andy J as the TRE I just pulled of is the one he'll be fitting  :icon_thumleft:
