The kit that he bought comes with a very sticky velcro patch and also a proper fixed mount with a swivel head that rotates for the camera.
He'd put the velcro patch on the rear behind the pillion pad and the mount he's fixed into the nose cone in front of the right side mirror.
Don't be put off with the fact that the rear is stuck on with velcro, you could probably lift the bike with the amount of grip it's got.
Then all the cabling and power pack runs back under the pillion seat, which is why I said if you can get the control cable as well then do that.
When mounted on the front of the bike he needed to use a tank map pad and he just stuck the recorder in there.
There's no problems with any vibes cos the recorder is a solid state recorder, i.e. no internal moving parts and the camera mounts are very secure.
Also don't forget that the footage on you tube has been seriously compressed to make the file small enough. I have since made it into a DVD and watched it on the 32" screen and it looks no worse than a VHS recording, which for the money and the size is more than acceptable.
