jesus thats hardcore, a 20hr one way trip
its strange how bikes are looked upon in differing nations.
apparantly in France all bikers are as cool as!
over here in the uk people still bang on about harleys
mainly the ones that dont ride.
and some people actualy hate motorcyclists with a passion.
whats the story with that lowering craze in the states?
to me it looks bllody dangerous

drag racing is a fairly big sport here.. much more so than roadracing, both cars and bikes and anything with wheels really. there are about 3 road-race tracks in texas, and there are about 3 drag strips in the central texas area alone. so naturally it kinda spawns from that, and the lack of ability of people actually riding. you take a majority of people out into the twisties and they'll shit themselves, but anyone can get on the highway and pin it open.
so really:
- we have lots and lots of room with tons of wide open highways.
- most of the riders here lack talent. the riders who are decent question the lowered bike thing and act very similar to decent riders anywhere in the world.
- drag racing is big here naturally.

one of my old sponsors is trying to cultivate US and UK stunt talent:

yeah.. the ones that really race, use it. there was a turbo Hayabusa the other night at the strip when we went running 8.90's @165 on a stock wheelbase, just lowered.

not at all.. it really varies depending on where you are. for the most part highways are 70mph, with some places being like 75 or 80.. not sure which they're up to nowadays as i typically dont pay a TON of attention to them. the 75+ limits are out in super rural middle of nowhere areas or interstate highways.
west texas is gods forsaken territory. a friend was riding from california to texas, and leaned on the tank out in west texas.. he fell asleep immediately after noticing a mile marker..he woke up 3 mile markers later, and had only drifted about 6 inches to the left.

lots and lots of rural areas and open roads.. you gotta head outta town to get to em and know about where to look for em. do a youtube or google search for Tail Of the Dragon, or Deals Gap. like 315 turns in 11 miles or something nutty.. awesome riding road.
