I thought that if the bike is less than 12 months old, they have to replace it with a new one - I know mine does. Definitely refuse their offer. Or my solicitors told me that I could accept the payment as in interim payment subject to agreeing the final value.

Hmmm dunno about new for old, might depend on your insurance co. Always worth taking out the gap insurance on a brand new bike

depends on whether it's worth the salvage price pal and if there's a lot of work to do to fix it up or sell it on at a profit really

 wat sort of damage does ur bike have ?? and wat yr is it

ita an 07 4 months old, most of the damage is plastics (Fairing etc) but does need a tank and rear subframe, but its staright in all the right palces

are the frame welds/seams all ok under the tank?  if so I'd be tempted to consider buying it back and fixing it up perhaps

it you bike it back you will end up spending half of the money you have left fixing it up and you will still have to pay the finance off 

think maybe push for a better offer and try and screw them down on the price for the buy back

Especially with that buy it back offer, fooking crazy if you ask me, but then I suppose they would be able toget that in an auction for it, job lot and all.
