they don't tell you how the commando's that were actually guarding the Falkland islands actually surrendered when the argies invaded  :dontknow:

the para's had to come and save the fookers

There was a whole series about the Paras in the 80's. From signing up to passing out.

Bit unfair with the falklands comparison, the odds weren't exactly in their favour lol

so what para's were out number'd every time they went into battle they always come out on top.....

The Parachute Regimental Association
"What manner of men are these who wear the red beret?

They are firstly, all volunteers and are then toughened by hard physical training.  As a result they have that infectious optimism and that offensive eagerness which comes from physical well being.  They have jumped from the air and by doing so have conquered fear.

Their duty lies in the van of battle; they are proud of their honour and have never failed in any task.  They have the highest standards in all things whether it be skills in battle or smartness in execution of all peacetime duties.

They have shown themselves to be as tenacious and determined in defence as they are courageous in attack.  They are in fact, men apart.

Every Man an Emperor."

Field Marshall the Viscount Montgomery of Alamein.

r1ninja:
Didn't come out on top at Arnhem did they?

GRNINJA:

Boys, boys. It doesn't matter what or who.I respect all service men, serving or served, grunt to flyboys.

Respect!!!They are doing a job most people are shit scared of doing or can't be bothered to do.

For me I had no choice it was compulsary and it did me the world of good, all kids should do it and I wouldn't bat an eye lid if my son or daughter had to go.

GRNINJA:
