i tried one of those with the two rods, the second one in the picture and it was crap, I really wouldn't use one of those as it looked like the bike would fall off it    and Dave yours was a nighmare at Mallory wasn't it 

yeah it was mate, so I ended up getting a Sparco front one, much better.... G you saw my blue Sparco one at Silverstone

My experience with front paddock stands goes as far as a universal Micron rear stand bent in abit to fit under the front radial mounts

i use the abba stand.

absolutley nice, does the job for the rear.
then for the front just use an old style scissor jack
under the engine to lift the front.

job done .

Another vote here for the ABBA stand, just got one and it's ace. Had paddock stands in the past, but didn't fancy putting my new 10 up on one cos there nowt to grab hold of at the back.
Was tempted by ABBA in the past, saw the demo at NEC every year but never bothered. Best tool i've bought in a long while.

You could end up with a shed full of stands.  I've got an abba and it's no good for removing the swingarm, and there's nowhere, far enough forward without taking off the bellypan,  under the 636 to get a jack so it's not that good for washing some bikes either.  It's brilliant for removing the rear wheel though as it doesn't get in the way like a paddock stand.  I fancy the Harris under yoke stand, the other type can't be used for removing the fork legs so why buy a compromise?  I know the under yoke is a bit dearer, but they seem more stable.  I've got the Harris stainless rear paddock stand and it's a doddle to get the 10 on and off, so I think I'll be at their stand at the NEC to see if there's a discount on the matching front.
