Oh mate...thats shite!  Wish you a speedy recovery.....

I had a full knee replacement 2 years ago, and must be honest and say its been rock solid.  Still not allowed contact sports, but everything else has been fine.   If they recommend it being pinned or supported I would go for it....my knee has pins in!

Whatever you decide mate, best of luck!

Well im back home after another 5 days in hospital, apperently all went well reconstructing the knee. But it seems it was a bigger job than i thought. Im not one for wanting to know the ins and outs of the op beforehand "put me out do what you have to do and wake me up with a cuppa" thats about it. Woke up with an 8 inch scare from the top of me knee cap down me shin, the xray shows more screws and metalwork and i also had a bone graft. Seems this was a bigger job than my original broken leg. so now 6-8 weeks no weight to be put on the leg looks like xmas before i will be fully fit if no further setbacks.

Good luck on the recovery, by the sounds of it you should be well fit and back to full strength for next spring.  If it makes you feel any better :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
Just take it slowly over the winter months and don't rush anything.

yeah theses days thats more of a worry than the treatment you go in for, never used to happen think trouble with the world today is everyone is frightend of a bit of dirt. your body needs to be in contact with germs and bacteria etc to build an imune system. when i was a kid out on the feilds with me mother dirty hand and some grit in yer pack lunch didnt matter, now the world seems set on bringing kids up un a clinical enviroment then wonder why they get ill at the drop of a hat.
can you tell im going stur crazy yet babbling on and on  [rofl]
