lol. dude are you able to shed any advice on track days in the US? ive been told california is the place to go...??
california.. what to say about california... excellent place to visit, terrible place to stay, and horrible representation of america in general. it's a state full of self-absorbed hippies who happen to make more than the rest of the country (yet spend twice as much as the rest of us to live, and fail to recognize this.) the people are far too busy to spare a minute, and always 10 minutes late for wherever they think they're supposed to be.
that said, it is a nice location geographically and i can see why the idiots flock to it.
trackdays.. if one were coming to america simply for track days, i would say spend your dollar at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, a $120 million facility that's little more than a year old and has completely covered pit stalls that have their own bathrooms and power at each bay. suppose you could always skip over to Pahrump Nevada and visit their track, its not THAT far from anything in california, and is a decent place to visit.. but Utah in my opinion is an incredibly boring place in general, not much happens there.
Barber Motorsports park is an excellent facility in Alabama and houses the Motorcycle Museum at the track, so its kinda a cool tourist trap/track overall. that said Alabama sucks, and is one of the states that even us southern rednecks laugh at.
Road Atlanta is in Flowery Branch GA and is a classic facility, very scary turn 12 section where Miguel Duhammel recently put himself into the hospital during a practice session, but the rest of the track is awesome. very much a horsepower track with quite a few long straight sections. also, Georgia is a pretty cool place to be, and is very nearby Florida and the disneyworld that you brit's seem to wet your panties over so often
