bike cops
« on: September 11, 2007, 09:34:30 PM »

had one behind me tonight for a good few miles so i stuck to the limits etc.

dude pulls me and expecting the usual exhaust lecture his first words were (smiling) are you taking the piss.

i said pardon to which he replied are you taking the piss.

i said how you mean.he then basically in a round about way bollocked me for riding to the limits and suggested i get a smaller bike if thats how i want to ride??????????????

i was quite shocked and confused by this as im usually up for a row with the old bill but for once i was stumped.

he looked round my bike and commented how nice it was and then suggested i get on my way and find a nice stretch of road and ride it .

he then smiled and was on his way,how fucking wierd is that !!!!!!

Did a local bikesafe rideout a couple of years ago. Full liveried copbike. Set off, stuck rigidly to 60. He flagged me to stop. Bollocked me for riding too slow, told me to follow him and proceeded to do upto a ton on some twisty roads. When we stopped again he said "  I know yr gonna ride fast and  i am here to show you how to ride fast - but safe". Top bloke who i also met bout a year later. He was doing roadside checks with vospa who wanted to do me for exhaust but he told them it was fine and let me on my way.  :headbang:

He`s trying to lull you into a false sense of security so next time you are followed by him you`ll get a MOVE ON AND HE NICKS YOU!!!!!!

Beware ;-)

ohi dunno. my experience of bike cops is that they are pretty cool. bloke called bill that i know (surely, thats a little unfortunate, as names go), is really lovely and i regularly see him out. many's a time ive been on the A1 and a whole gaggle of cop bikes have pulled up to me and escorted me through the traffic with him at the helm, doing like a ton lol. really fun, tho when we stopped at the greasy spoon, i got some looks (as though i was in custody), parolly cause i look like a gangsta on the bike complete with hoody lol...

proper decent guys. if i give up playing with wbankers id consider it...stepping into dead mans shoes tho...
