Right

Puttin the feelers out for anyone that wants a track bike/ road bike. Idealy suited for someone with spanner knowlege as gear box needs replacing! Other than that its a good runner great fun to ride but need something more reliable. What sort of money should i be asking

I think you should keep it but let me garage, service and ride it go on you know it makes sense.
I would if it was next year as I might be in the market for one then. to early.

Not really the best time of year to be flogging it off .

If you're not desperate to get the money quickly, maybe worth fixing the gearbox over winter & then sticking it on the market when the sun comes out next year.

Only reason for sellin is it only form of transport and i need a reliable pony to get me about so i dont have the time for it to be off the road.

I'd get it fixed if you can Si and then it'll be fine, afterall if you sell it like has been said you'll lose a few bob where once fixed it should be reliable surely

Im guessing its jumping out of gear, more than likely second.... cracking bikes, i had a 99 in red and white, loved it (it had second gear replaced under warranty before i got it, in which the guy got an entire new bottom end as the gear had scored the internal casing and had to re-run it in again at 10,000 miles!).

Typical 98 R1 with chocolate box andy, second gear slips and may have a selecter problem

Got it in 1 buddy cracking bike just let down by the box.
