Erm...used to have an SV, then had a gixxer6...and nearly bought the gixer thou....however totally agree, Suzuki's build quality is horrendous. My SV was 6 months old when I bought it and it was already starting to show signs of rust et al. You have to work hard to keep them very clean so that they don't start looking like shite. My gixxer was kept immaculate and it paid off, but even that had the odd patch of paint flaking/rust.
But, I totally agree with Gabs. An SV1000 is a fab bike and sounds bloody fab with twin scorpions on it. Makes peoples head turn....however the suspension is a little on the soft side for it to be sporty as standard so a replacement gixxer1000 shocks is advised. Then you have a helluva lot of bang for ya buck!
The Mille's are nice though dude and if thats what you want then you go for it. I adore V-twins and still thinking of getting a Duke monster or something as a second hack around town bike thing. Very different to a IL4 but think you'll like it.
However, a bike is only a fast as your wrist allows...so the 10 is as fast as you want it to be. Why not get a pc111 and have it remapped for mid range or something? Change the gearing....? Again, only options for you to consider!
