Hi there,

The mate has just chopped his GSXR750 in for a Mille, the Bol d'Or limited edition one. He brought it round last night with a HUGE grin on his face, absolutely raving about it. I have to say, it's got an air of quality about it. Big name components and nice touches like braided hoses as standard. He also bought a set of Gianelli cans for it, the dealer put the ECU into race mode for him at the first service. Ain't been out on the road with him yet, so don't know what it's like stacked up against my 10. Will find out this wekend tho' as a trip to Scarboro' is on the cards.
Only down side so far was that the 600 mile service was 300 quid....ouch!

you will absolutely dust his nuts off in the straights..  the 10 is heaps faster everywhere.  however in the twisties, the Vtwins suffer much much less in the way of rotating enertia than our 4's do.. typically they carry lots of speed midcorner and put the power down much better on the way outta corners.. so depending on how well he can ride the bike, he may not be as far back through the twisties, than you'd expect him to be, after running off on the straights.

BUT.............it topped out at 176mph was the only reason i got rid of it as the inline four boys were goning past me on the straights?

BUT BEFORE EVERYONE GETS EXCITED it fockin cornered or should i say out cornered everything i used to go undernieth so many people and carry more corner speed so i could shoot them round the outside if i wanted too it was un real plus its the only bike i was able to brake midcorner on the front brake if it was going wrong and live to tell the tail?
BAD point the rear cylinder blew the head gasket as i does get very hot as its sitts right behind the front one so it gets no or little air?
but other than that i LOVED IT even though my late friend used to call it an italian piece of shit  (respect glen rest in peace buddy)

Hi All.. Back off me Hols so thought id put my 2 pence worth in....
 I had a Factory when they came out, threw best part of a Grand at it with cans etc.. and as Gorgeous as she was and has Fantastic as she sounded, i just couldn't get on with her....   Main reason was it felt like i was sitting on top of a wall! The seat is a bit wide for my liking and really throws your legs open.
 Anyway. just cause you have a Thou doesnt mean you have to Rag it Everywhere does it? If you want to just Thrash your bike more on the road then just swap it for a new 6. Some of my mates have and as much fun they have, i bet they saw a few words inside thier Lids when i Fly past em.....
