Motorist admits driving at 172mph 
 
Timothy Brady was disqualified from driving with immediate effect
A motorist has admitted driving at a speed of 172mph on a road in Oxfordshire with a 70mph speed limit.
Timothy Brady was driving a Porsche 911 along the A420 near Kingston Bagpuize when he was caught in a routine speed check, Oxford Crown Court heard.

Brady, 33, of Harrow in north-west London, will be sentenced in September.

The speed is thought to be the highest recorded in the UK for such an offence. Road safety charity Brake described the case as "shocking".

a friend of mine got caught doing 100 in a 30 mile an hour zone,,,,we are still waiting on the trail....but like the doctor said when he was born,  this is gonna get ugly....they may make an example of him....they put a road block on the street to catch him...could be as bad as a 10,000 dollar fine :shock:

don't need the license... maybe someone else's leathers and lid though  [whistle]

get a through a speed camera at 189 (not that its true speed when it reads 189) down the M4 to heath row leave the bike ion long stay with the Lid and leathers get change into the clothes I had on back catch train home to reading  [whistle]

Not that I would really do it but hey there's my plan  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

IIRC Gatso's can only read upto 150 ish mph
