What is the best spine protector? Can any one help? [wall]

If I remember rightly when RIDE magazine did their tests, the 'Odell Forcefield' came out tops  :icon_thumright:

I have 2 the Alpine star one



and this one



both seem cool

I have tested the alpinestar one and it works ;-)

not tested the Knox yet both have annoyances though

I've got one of these and it feels ok to me, it was highly rated a few years back so if it was safe then it's safe now in my book  :icon_thumright:

Ive got a Forcefield and its great. Its cheaper than the top Knox too.

Aint this in the wrong section though :icon_scratch:

the best back protector is the one that fits your back the best. it should be long enough to cover your spine but not so long that under your leathers it causes the protector to ruck. width is also important. i found the best thing to do was to go to a bike show or a dealer that stocks a few different makes.

personally i only have experience of Racer and Knox back protectors. the latter have a good range and even a roll-up version for storage.

Got one of these and it fits and feels comfy (even if one is slightly, ahem rotund :emb:) Hardly notice its on.
