Welcome,, nice pictures......
Now tell me,, does the 10r really tour well...... Is it comfy....
Were did you go and how many miles did you complete....
I'm just curious how you felt touring on it......
I wasn't sure it would be fun after touring on my ZX-9 but I have to say it was brilliant!
We rode from Bilbao to Calais via Monte Carlo....2500 miles in 6 days with full camping gear.....hense all the luggage!
You do get a bit of weight on your wrists obviously, but if you keep your speed up, as you do over there, the wind helps. I took the double bubble screen off and put the standard back on for that reason.
The seat on the 10 is actually mega comfy! Much more comfy than the 9's. No hint of sore posterior....ever!
The only down side with the 10 over the 9 for touring ,IMO, is that it has less wind protection when tucked in at hyper cruising speeds....120+ but that's no big deal really.
Oxford Humpback panniers and tankbag fit it perfectly. I used my old (standard) Oxford Sports tailpack because I can get ALL my camping gear in it.
I have to say it was the best trip I've ever done partly because of the bike, the awesome roads were the other reason, the bike was just a hoot all the time.
If all I ever did was touring, I'd still keep it.
I'm 42 by the way with a dodgy knee (from an accident years ago) so I'm not in the first flush of youth....if that makes any difference.
Get your luggage on and get yourself over to Europe.....in the Spring that is. I promise the 10 will not let you down!!!
