i agree,

first bike was an AR125LC, not the best but did the job

i did have a  RD250LC, then a 350LC then the zxr750.

after the zxr i had a gixer750srad. that was a good bike without a doubt.

it had to go for the 10r though

hondas never floated my boat, new R1 looks good as you say.

ZX10r's are the pitbulls of motorbikes.

yep your right i took the new r1 out last week for an hours test ride ?
was amazing i have the old r1 and this thing was just like it twitchy and very responsive? wheelied well but not as good as G's zx10r
but it was close ? what i loiked more than any thing was the slipper clutch came from easy 180 mph down to a 2nd gear round a roundabout and the thing just stepped out and left a great big black line on the road? went round the island twice to confirm and admire? hehe so the new r1 gets a big thumbs up from me

Sounds wicked Steve. Same as me as far as slipper clutch goes. When you dont have one like you and me they are amazing when you ride a bike hard with one.

Never got round to getting the RG500. Would love an RGV, as a plaything though !

Me too  had a Mk1 RG250 and then graduated onto a RG400 - wish I'd never sold it now

They should be........................the 125 was sold and the 250 had just been delivered !

Not sure if my illusions re the 500 would be shattered now, if I rode one...................given the power the 10 has in comparison ?

I recall that 250 on the front page of PB back in nineteen eighty something and it was a dream............... i never had one though 

always fancied one of these early ones but went the Elsie route instead

i had a rgv 250 untill about ayear or so ago. ws fookin mental a stroker that would top 130 mph and go round corners like it was on rails? had for stanstevens  engineered engine was fast as fook loved it ? but i looked a bit silly in ,like john wayne on a donkey hehe
