Racetecs only made in Race K compounds mate.

I have seen racetecs without the K1 K2 written on them  :emb:

and supercorsa pros have a road one and the SC1 and SC2 etc  :icon_thumright:

Yeah the SC pros do a road version but racetec dont. The K1 etc is only a sticker, it does come off.

Normally get about four or five trackdays from a brand new set of supercorsa pro's. Most tyre fitters reckon on four...

Dave

I take it thats with warmers though Dave.

Thanks Guys. The front had only done a few laps rear about 20 when I got them. K1 front K2 Rear. I was running fairly well in the intermediates but do not use tyre warmers.

WARNING TYRE SPOILER AHEAD................................. [whistle]

well for me im in with the ride it hard all the time gang...........and so far i like the michelin pilot race....i go with a soft front & a med rear.

these tyres warm up the quickest out of ,say metz, racetecs, on the road only about 4 miles in and they are red hot, allso after a run out they stay the hottest when cooling down.........so they are keeping heat in the tyre..........i just love em to bits only down side is same as with most sticky tyres you don,t get big mileage out of em , but thats not the point,,,,,,,,stickys are for huning around the twistes on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I run pirelli Suprcorser slicks.  Get about 3 or 4 days out of a front and 2 days out of a rear......bloody great tyres, faultless for first 30 laps or so but the rear will start to move around a bit after that but the slides are slow and predictable rather than suddenly letting go.....best bit is the stability....I've used Dunlops before and although they are grippy the bike danced about a lot that hurts your confidence

I facy trying some slicks sometime. Do you find you get more grip or dont you really notice it over a SC pro?

Moving around after 30 laps dont sound to good though?

I instantly went about 2-3 seconds faster when I moved to slicks......they are great fun....Its difficult to compare but i think they are better when the bike is really cranked over, almost like they have more edge grip.  To be honest I'm not sure if the drop in laptimes was anything to do with the tyres or more of a psychological boost from me knowing they were fitted???

I like them but you really need tyre warmers and the wear rate can be pretty horrendous even with a medium compound rear on
