Race fairings are on......
« on: July 26, 2007, 09:30:15 PM »

so the gloves are off  [rofl] ......  just fitted prf race fairings to the ten, have ordered the paint and will hopefully spray it on sat.

they where a bit of a shit to fit, The front went on easy but the seat unit was a bitch. I am a bit concerned because they are  not held on by feck all especially the seat unit... But i tested them to around 165mph and nothing fell of (smelt a bit though) will take them off to spray tomorrow and have a good look inside to see if anything is melting !!

Depends how they feel to you i guess. What are they Supercorsa Pro's? Do you use warmers? 2mm is not really low for a pro but if they have done loads ands loads of heat cycles then i would change them if you dont feel that confident in them :icon_thumright:

Ive got a 6R so it abit different but you need to drill two holes in the top of the seat unit where you usally hold down the standard one and use the two standard bolts..

hi there gopher.

there are 2 types of seat units on the market.

1 is compleat and attaches to the tank and sub frame the other is in 3 bits(seat unit and 2 bits that go on the tank)

with the compleat one it should attach to the tank and the sub-frame by the seat witch is where the standard seat locates.

mss fairings are v good. they fit well and also crash v well

Hey shrek ........ These are prf. The tail unit is one piece it bolts on by the tank but the only other place i can fix it  is onto the plastic 'wings' (only way to describe them) that cover the cans but there does not seem any point as there is no strength in that bit whatsoever the rest whent on really well and to be fair they seem good quality... I am taking them to my local bike shop (they all race zxr400's) so they can run an eye over them  :icon_thumleft:
