sorry to hear about the bad news.....it sucks when you get kicked when your down....on the bright side....you'll be riding your own bike soon and a new lid...check every girl and small child around the island....can't be that many xsmall arai's around....and as for the beer's...can never have too many of them either :occasion14:

Hi guys, thanks for the replies - I'm smiling again today, takes a lot to keep me down  :hello2:  Bit of an update - no news on the lid I'm afraid, tried ringing my insurance company today, but unfortunately all the lines are jam-packed with people making claims from the floods, so I'll try again later.  As far as the bike is concerned the insurance assessor has been in contact with the kwak dealer and he will be looking at the bike either tomorrow or friday, so hopefully by the end of the week they should have been given the go-ahead to get it all fixed for me.

On a funny note - I have a 'wavey friend' (a guy that I wave to every morning - he rides a 10r) and I freaked him out this morning.  He nodded this morning like he would to any other biker (normally waves at me like a lunatic) - should have seen the look on his face when I did my ususal wave to him, me on the bandit with a totally different lid . . . talk about 'double take' I think he must have done more of a quadruple take, could almost see the confusion through his tinted visor  [rofl]
