My tyre pressures were changing overnight during the hot spell we had and I tend to check every other day or if I feel it handling a bit odd it's the first thing I look at and it's normally out.

I can normally tell when my rear is out by 2 lbs as it handles a bit odder than usual.

It's supposed to be one of those daily routing checks before going out on the bike.

I used to check mine before every ride, whilst they were still cold but got lazy in recent months. My point here was to show how much pressure can be lost when the bike is standing. You are exactly right and I've learned a valuable lesson

could be cold tyres like yousay or pressures even, checked mine today annd they were 25 front and 30 rear Ooops......felt a lot better once I set them to 38 35 which feels good to me..............

I will have to check mine... though they should be ok as I have only had it a couple of months

Ideally check before every ride, failing that once a week at least, or whenevr you think you have a handling issue.

I shall slap my wrist and go to halfords to buy a ture pressure checker right away

Just get a pencil gauge Glenn and keep it under the seat, no need to go dial or digital.

TBH,, even after coming off of the blade and on to the 636,, I'm happy with the power of  it.... Its the way i like to corner low gears/ high revs with the engine screaming just so I can fire out of the bends and corners with the front going a little light....

Anyone who has seen me ride knows what i mean...

I would like to wheelie more if I weren't worried about flipping the beast...... I wanna old streetfight to practice on as I haven't really mastered the riding wheelie yet.

Just getting her up smoothly is a task in its self for someone as hamfisted as me pmsl

I don't imagine you will have any problems wheeling your bike... All I do is slowly introduce higher revs when dropping the clutch out.... If it pulls hard then you know where you are with the revs Its just a case of dumping the clutch and slowly adding some revs...
Doing this lets you find a comfy point for learning..... Not that I'm great at it......

Big T on mcnninjas can help you there.
He makes wheelie switches that attach to your number plate and have a rod hanging over the back of the back wheel.  When it touches down it cuts the engine power, hence you won't flip it.

He fitted one to MCB's ZX10R in about 20 mins in the summer.

I'd say it was the way to go if your nervous of flipping it.

Give him a PM, or start a thread about wheelies and he won't be far away.

I'll show you how 

just try getting on the power over rises in the raod surface in 2nd or 3rd and it'll come up, practice makes perfect. I like to wheelie but like just little ones where I'm in complete control...........give it a try and you'll sonn get the hang of it.

However,

1. If a copper sees you, you're in big trouble

2. ALWAYS keep your foot covering the rear brake as pressing this is your safety valve
