Amsterdam in over 24 hours with a dodgy sat nav
« on: July 17, 2007, 11:23:52 PM »

well had to go to amsterdam on business to pick up some equipment in a datacentre and move it back to the uk, so I donned the driving gloves and the company petty cash and went on my way, drive was pretty easy but the sat nav i used was pant added and extra 2 hours 15 minutes both ways  :-(

had a couple of beers last night and had a walk about very strange place....... I must say though my car deserves a pat on the back 700 miles without a problem when it is 2000 miles overdue for a service  :headbang:

At least you did the work fella  :icon_thumright:

Think I'd like to have a look around over there just to see what it's all about, not my scene but it's just one of those places to see I guess, and there are tulips too  :icon_thumright:

Me and some mates went to amsterdam about 7 years ago.  It was hilarious - and yes we went to the Moulin Rouge  :emb:  I had a close encounter with batman . . .  I'd popped out from the 'show' to go upstairs to the toilet, was running up the stairs and came face to groin with batman - a huge black bloke in a thong and cape . . . he was on his way down to perform his act on stage.  Wasn't too sure where to look to be honest!!!  :emb:  [rofl]  [whistle]
