Sorry but I think of skype as I think of Microsoft....... shite ... and just in it for the money  :dontknow:

SIP is the way forward and will be the norm once skype is no longer thought of as a fashion accessory like MSN and Myspace is....  :dontknow:

The WAN is dedicated Fibre link for Data and voice over the same pipe.  The data has to be secure so its not over the Net.  We then proxy out to the net for internet access.

All i know is it cost a bloody fortune..

Anyway, you can link BT mobile up to the total broadband so that when you are at home your mobile actually uses VOIP.  I think its called BT Fusion.  It saves the hassle of thinking which one is free now to where etc..  Can be pricey, but if you use the phone alot it pays for itself.

I have an E61i nokia with wireless and sip its logs into my Asterisk VoIP server and accepts calls to my ddi I can ring out via either it ask whether I was internet or Mobile network

my call gate goes through AAISP for in house calls i.e free and anything else will use my free calls through my provider...  :icon_thumright:
