I never heard that about the 6ft thing, only to watch out in corners, and the guy in front had the corner, several riders came VERY close to me at high speed, its ok if they wanna do that, but I did not wanna be taken out at the same time, because, and correct me if I am wrong, there is NO breakdown or accident cover,if you crash your bike,no insurance pay out,how the hell do you get you and the bike home? And you can't claim off the guy who crashes into you! It's a big risk really.I think there could be a BIG market in track days for REAL novices, with specialist instructors on hand to guide you through, anyway, had a laugh, brilliant ride back to Peterborough and then Slough, and funnily enough,I felt safer on the roads!!!!! :icon_thumright:

Well I'm doing my first trackday next Friday with the MCNNinjas.

I went to watch them last year and I was really gutted I didn't get on track even though I could have right from the start without booking it.  Then I was offered again after lunch to get on track and I've kicked myself ever since.

I can't wait for it.  I'm already looking at other tracks to do and I'm still a virgin  :dontknow:  God only nows what I'll be like once I've got he bug.

Bart man i think a good idea on your next track day would be to line up at the very back in the pit lane then when you get going only the much faster people will lap you, this may help you to concentrate on your own lines and riding. Also when i did my first T/day i was told no matter what stick to your own lines and make people go around you this works well and allows you to think about what you are doing yourself.

Mallory isn't the best place to get ya knee down though... but if you are used to getting your knee down you can.... though edwinas is easy to touch down on the right hander  :icon_thumleft:
