How did you crash....was it front end or rear that lost traction??

I think front mate... it was early into the bend so the power weren't on much  :icon_thumright:

I'm guessing that the closed/low throttle will have moved a lot of weight to the front  :dontknow:

Yeah its to do with weight on the front tyre. If you run in fast with big weight on the front to start with and then crank it right over and then let off and put even more load on the front. Its only going one way. This would have to be really fast for the corner though not just running it through.

You'd have to be going in pretty damp hot to load up the suspension so much that it bottoms out and looses traction, you'll only loose the front when it bottoms out and cant absorb anything anymore. plus he said he had done all his braking and settled the bike.

When racing  i can run into a corner on the brakes with no throttle what so ever, and on an sv its all about corner speed so its not like im going slow, never lost the front, even chopping the throttle to stop myself running into the back of people.

I reckon it was something on the road to be honest, most people know when they have had it so cranked over and just run out of traction.

Another thing it could of been is suspension, if you have too much rebound on the front  and go over a big bump the suspension wont extend quick enough to keep the front wheel in traction with the road and will skip over bumps almost, its not a nice feeling and can make you think you've lost the front when you havent as the front goes all light and you get no feedback, this is when most riders dump it thinking it's gone, all inside bar gets pulled as they tense up and the front wheel folds.

I think I will put it down to experience and just not try to ride so fast on the road and keep it to the track  :icon_thumright:

sorry to hear that pal, it'll fix itself though  :icon_thumright:

about 10 years back I had a big off on my m-x bike , flipped the bloody thing at a decent speed and landed right on the base of my spine, lost my breath for most of the day, it was horrible. I had bruised kidneys etc but fortunately nothing broken. I got some anti inflamatories and all was well, they cured my kidney/backpain in an instant. I then had a bad back for a coupl of years but thaqt was a big off for sure.

you'll be reet in a week or two  :icon_thumright:
