Maybe a short intro along with a virtual round of drinks on me.
Im from Edinburgh in my mid twenties and have been biking for 6 years, my first bike was the mighty zxr 400, then onto an R1, i fancied a change this year after owning the R1 for 3 years, so decided on a brand new zx10r when they were doing the 0% for 3 years and free akras. I like to tinker with my motorbikes and a bit of a dab hand at sorting them out when things go wrong, i learnt it all from the zxr constantly breaking (maybe it was the user of it who was causing it to malfunction). I still own my zxr 400 and im in the process of a total overhaul, i`ll maybe post up some pictures with my progress, its got a nice radial front end going on it from the 06 zx6r with custom spacers matched up to 310mm discs on the original zxr wheel.
The 10r is a lovely bike, covered 2k miles so far in the 2 months i've owned it, my bikes get used daily as commuters as driving a car in rush hour is pointless when you can gun it down the white line instead. THe only thing i have done to the ten is remove the god awful rear number plate holder and whacked on a tail tidy, a single seat cowl and a double bubble screen. Next on the list is to remove the absolutely shocking OE tyres, they are the worst tyres in the wet i have ever experienced, they are however fantastic in the dry.
