2007 brake upgrade
« on: May 29, 2007, 11:50:33 PM »

I  got fed up with the standard 2007 brakes so I've upgraded, much nicer now.  They feel more progressive, with a lot more in reserve, plus I've lost the 'garden hose' look.

Other then being utterly crap there isn't.  I found them very uninspiring to the point where I didn't think I was going to stop at a junction, at normal speeds as well.  I've read quite a few owners complaining, there appears to be a quality control issue with the master cylinder, some reckon the 636 C1H m/c is enough to cure it, others go Brembo, and some reckon their's are ok.  I've always considered Tokico to be a second-string brake manufacturer, so a move to Nissin seemed a good option.  I replaced the m/c with the ZX14 one because it came as one unit so I thought I'd try it out.  Apart from the 10 having a number 1 cast into it and the 14 having number 2 there appears to be no difference between them.
