I read Superbike , the Motorcycle Action Group mag, and PB regularly, and Ride when it has something I'm interested in, like the ZX10R feature.  I've gave up on MCN last year, and don't miss it at all, I don't even read it for free in Tesco.  I did read Back Street Heroes for a couple of years, but it got a bit samey.  I've never owned a chop, but I appreciate the one-off engineering attitude.  I also read that freebie paper the bike shops have, and the Ponderosa stocks it which gives an excuse to pop over to see if the new one's out yet.

MCN is pretty poor......the sports results are excellent but the rest of it is like reading the Sun.....I found they only seem to have about 8 stories that get warmed over and served up every 3 weeks or so.........to save you all wasting more money each week here they are........(please remember to read this in a size 48 font screaming  headline!)

1. Car drivers are crap......
2. Politicians plan to ban bikes....
3. Truck drivers deliberately spill diesel.....sign our petition NOW!
4. World Supers is about to collapse and disappear up it's own arse......
5. Cops invent new way of getting us......
6. Out of touch Judge hands down dreadful miscarriage of justice.......
7. Triumph are about to launch a world beating bike........
8. No hang on.....Triumph are about to  go bust......

9. Nearly forgot one......."Insurance costs set to rocket this year due to illegal immigrants/global warming/evil politician"

Fuck this........I think I might apply for a job with them.........

Buy Bike & PB  every month.

Bike is probably the right balance of mature & fun stuff, without the sensationalist crap.

PB 'cos it's the only mag that still covers strokers these days & still has enough of it's Motorcycle Mechanics DNA left to do stuff like the readers specials & 'build a bike in your shed' thing that's finally up & running in this months copy.

I also normally pick up a copy of Classic Bike &/or Classic  Mechanics monthly as it's good to read about some 'real' bikes & their mechanics, rather than all those modern plastic fantastics !   [whistle]
