So basically I love the zx10's, and have been offered one for my R1!!
Trouble is its an 04 with an apparent commen 5th gear problem,
As best as it has been described to me is, that the bike is fine in all gears except 5th, apparently when 5th is engaged you can feel a pulse/pushback on the lever, and a horrible cloncking noise when powering on! But is fine in all other gears, not much to go on I realise,  but after a fruitless search online, I thought I'd see if the knowledge on here can enlighten me in the situation,  is this a known problem? Is it likely to be a fucked gearbox? Or (hopefully) a more common than I'd believe thing and an easy fix??
Any help for my less than helpful symptom giving massively appreciated.
