I do wish there was a more 'cool' way of waving though - its nice to acknowledge another rider but at the same time I dont want to come over all wallyish ?

Theres me getting a sweat on panicking what Im gonna do if  I see a bike comin the other way - Shall I do a quick U turn to avoid the decision... or should I wave and be ignored - now why didnt I think of nodding...

What sort of nod Horse ? Up and down or a sort of side flick ?

I hate the aloofness of riders that don't nod back. Unless they are concentrating on traffic and don't see you.  More embarrasssing is seeing a bike coming towards you  and you get ready .... give a genarous nod ..... and its a scooter with L plates.

I don't really give a monkeys if the other rider don't nod back, I feel good about it and it don't cost anything to do so don't see a problem.

Now then, if you see a group of riders coming towards you, say 10 bikes.

Do you

A.  Nod like the Churchill dog to each and every one of them
B.  Nod the once and have done with it.
