Hello all from Devon
« on: October 18, 2016, 12:45:38 AM »

Hi all,
So here I am. Owner of a track biased 2007 (wheelbarrow) that i'ryve ridden twice so far - Mallory Park and Cadwell and am really enjoying it.
I've been riding for 28 years now on various beaters and then progressed to sports bikes on a zxr 750 J1, the one with the hoover pipes, then it was time for the yamaha R1. rode those on road and track for about 12 years - fun.
Since i had an accident at work they became uncomfortable to ride for longer periods of time so away they went. I now have a Superduke 990R for the road - insane and my wheelbarrow for the track.
I'd heard the rumours about the 10 but until you ride one if just doesn't sink it in. I've stripped it seeing as I won't be riding it until early next year. I've pulled the brakes and suspension apart(I'm an engineer by trade and completed a 4 day suspension course last year that has the approval from ktec), stripped wheels etc right off of it and have been cleaning it up. It was sat in a garage for nearly 5 years so was a bit grotty.
I'm looking forward to trawling through the forum here and finding out more about the bike and what it can do, what it can't do, what you shouldn't do etc.

I'm thinking an ECU flash next and a quick turn throttle but who knows.
Anyway, i'm off for a look around here. speak soon.

bye for now.

Simon

thanks for the welcomes.

i've been playing in the garage lately with the trackbike, slowly getting it back together. best bit about winter is the unhurried fettle time.
