Did anyone see that program a few years back where they tested them to see how resiliant they were.

One test was that they threw them in a canal, took it out and tried to start it.  Guess what?  It only fooking started.

Another test was that they threw it off the top of a 4 storey building and apart from a buckled front wheel, it still went.

no I missed that program, if they managed the abuse I put them through when I was a teenager they'd get through anything  :headbang:

This is the test, with Charlie Boorman

I got confused about the canal, that was the Toyota HILUX that Top Gear tested in the sea at WesternSuperMare

Fair play to the boys, sounds a right blast.

I remember knackering either the clutch on mine or the gearbox ...might have been due to revving the nuts off it in neutral and then slamming it into first.... :emb:

I also manged to get the bugger home after the fuse went and the old fag packet silver paper became a temporary replacement...aaaah I miss those times!  (probably because I was just younger....)
