Anyone built their own parts washer?

I'm going to have a go, got a drum with fluid, a double sink and I can build a bench to mount it all in, but I need to fit a pump into it. I could use a bike fuel pump but ideally want it to run from 240v socket instead of a car battery.
Any advice anyone can give?
