Finally Winter rebuild can start!

That's interesting, do you also have a race head gasket as it has s restricted oil passageway to the head, so in race conditions oil pressure is increased in the crank shaft but oil volume is reduced in the valve gear, which isn't a problem at race type engine revs but in street riding particularly stop start traffic oil is scarcer on the cams which can cause problems, if it didn't then OE gaskets would also have smaller oil passageway.

Don't know but will ask the question and address it if necessary, cheers for the heads up.

I remember you telling me that it had been rebuilt so maybe they haven't put a kit gasket back in just a thought :icon_thumright:
