Gen 4 S2 Concepts seat cowl.
« on: November 12, 2015, 05:32:46 PM »

Hi all. Just thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my new S2 Concepts seat cowl. It's extremely well made, very solid and quite heavy but fits really snugg.
I think it looks a lot less bulky than the Kawasaki one (and won't rub the paint off the tail unit) and really tidies the back end up nicely. The paint colour match is spot on too.

Thats just what im after. But how heavy is it? I cant stand heavy bits on bikes. Im always looking to reduce weight. Is it just that bulky bracketry thats making it heavy? I can make alloy parts at work if so

It's the Hotbodies under tail. It's not fantastic quality but it does really slim the rear end down.

It's not the bracket, that's already aluminium. I'd say it weights about 1-1.5kg. I'm not sure what it's made of, it's like plaster of paris, it's hollow but it's really thick.

These undertrays look nice but they would get blasted with grit from the back tyre especially on track days. My last zx look shot blasted under there from track days

Cover it with a piece of Ventureshield to protect it from crud flying off the tyre.
