Possibly & probably but the wheels on the Gen5 are almost there weight wise & I'm gonna be keeping the new 1 for a good few years the worry of the fragility of the carbons would bother me.

The carbon rims are not what they used to be like, stronger than ever the build quality of the BST,s are awsome,

The standard rims on the gen 5 are no way near the weight of the BST,s

If they would Fit the R1 I would keep them without a doubt even tho it comes with the lightweight wheels,
