Plus i must say that my dad test rode the new r1 and said its useless on the road.
Its a awsome track bike for sure but have you rode one in traffic and done a few pull aways on it?
Its rediculous high first gear and snappy throttle make it awful in traffic all be it a bit better than the previous r1.
The original big bang is a snappy dog to ride in traffic. It nearly snaps the bars from your hand if you hit bumps sometimes.
The gen 4 zx10r i tested was perfect. Brilliant throttle response with a decent geared 1st gear. I want one so bad

Well the one I test rode was awsome, handled a lot better than my 10, I instantly felt how good it was from the off, yes it has a snatchy throttle but after an hour use I got use to it and it didn't bother me in the slightest,

I imagine a software update will be available at some point to improve the throttle response.

In my opinion today the R1 is it! But I really believe the Gen 5 is gonna be it you should just think for a moment how good a 10 it will be with the same WSB spec as the RSV & 1000R R1 B-)

Looking at the new pics released today  I  don't like it. At all,
And I'm not just saying that, the rear looks like the Z800 and the front I'm not keen either,

The spec might be good can't see a QS on it but it has Brembo,s

Personally all the new gen bikes scare me with their electronics. All fab when they are working but what happens when they start going wrong. I expect some are gonna be very costly
And it takes away the skill of riding. My mate, he just winds it on in the corners and the electronics keep the bike in line. All he is doing is steering. Where is the fun and skill in that? I feel more alive controlling a rear wheel slide or stopping the front coming up in a corner than I ever would seeing a traction control and anti-wheelie light flash in my peripheral vision. If bikes become any safer, you may as well get in the car.
Then just switch it all off  :brave:

The spec might be good can't see a QS on it but it has Brembo,s
It has the quickshifter from the H2. On top of that it has, cornering management function, Inertia measurement, electronic throttle valves with adjustable engine braking, above all the usual stuff like ABS, traction control, etc.

Let me just explain about that shifter :-P going from 1st to 2nd if you keep the pressure on the rod it will automaticly change up 1rpm from the limiter through all the gears right to the top so yoju can concentrate on what's ahead not having to look down at rev gauge or shift up light [clap] [clap] have you any idea how fast that will be :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:
