Peak District Ride
« on: June 13, 2015, 02:19:06 AM »

Hey all,

Next Saturday sees one of the most exciting chapters in my life so far begin, with both myself and the missus jumping on the Pan and doing an 1800 mile tour around the Scottish Highlands, Isle of Skye and the Lake District!!

But as a bit of a warm up for me, and an excuse to put some proper miles on my 2012 Gen 4, i put together a route which would get me to and from my home in Cambridge, to Matlock Bath followed by a 60 mile loop around some of the most awesome roads i could find ending up back in Matlock Bath again.

It was a complete success, and i haven't stopped grinning since :) The bike performed perfectly, and was the perfect weapon for the hilly and twisty roads that await you. I did film the 60 mile round trip, which i will try and get edited and uploaded to my YouTube channel this next week.

If you fancy a proper ride out, i highly recommend you head over to the Peaks for your own little adventure. To give you a starting point, here is the route i made https://www.motogoloco.com/map?route=7928
